COVID-19 INFORMATION

We at Cambridge Title Company are closely monitoring the latest developments regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the United States and abroad to help ensure the health and safety of our employees, business partners, and the consumers we serve every day. We also recognize that you are relying upon our ability to continue to provide title insurance, even during these uncertain times.

  • The cleanliness of our offices is our top priority. Our staff has increased the cleaning frequency of our waiting area, and bathrooms. In our closing rooms, we are cleaning all high-touch surfaces such as tabletops and chairs before and after each closing.
  • For the convenience and safety of our guests and staff, we have provided additional hand sanitizer in the waiting room and conference room to use during the closing process.
  • Our staff has received training on proper preventative hygiene methods to minimize the potential risk of infection.
  • We have asked all of our staff who are not feeling well to remain home.

The safety and peace of mind of our customers is the top priority for our title company. As the final stop on the long journey that is the home buying process, we want our clients to celebrate their achievement with confidence as they pursue this new chapter of their lives. You have our commitment that we are doing everything in our power to maintain the health, safety, and integrity of our title company for you and the many others who will close with us during these hard times.

To ensure the safety of our clients and staff, we are requesting the following:
  1. That all cash closings be conducted remotely.
  2. That closing attendees complete a Covid-19 Symptoms Questionnaire. We reserve the right to restrict access to the closing.
  3. That closing attendees be limited to essential parties whenever possible.

In light of the recent directives from the CDC and other governmental entities on social distancing, in-person access is being limited by nearly all cities/villages and Recorder’s offices. We expect more closings and limitations in the coming days. Currently, most Recorder’s offices are continuing to accept recordings and our closings will continue as scheduled. If a Recorder ceases operations completely and will no longer accept recordings, a scheduled closing can still continue under guidelines set by our title insurance underwriters. These guidelines are subject to change.

We remain committed to serving your title insurance needs and those of our employees throughout this global health crisis, and would like to express our gratitude for your continued trust in all of us. We encourage you to contact us with any concerns you may have or topics you would like to discuss in connection with your transactions.
